My first children’s book, The Story of the Blue Planet, was reissued today in the United Kingdom by Pushkin Press, this time as part of the Pushkin Children’s Classics series.
Pushkin Press first published the book in 2015, with illustrations by Áslaug Jónsdóttir, in an English translation by Julian D’Arcy. Three years earlier, it had made its English-language debut with Seven Stories Press in the United States.
The book has now been translated into nearly forty languages, and I have long since lost count of the countries where it has been published.
Stage adaptations based on the book have been performed around the world. So far this year alone, productions have been staged in Bulgaria, in Florida, and in Iceland.
