I love this poster. A snapshot from one of my grandfather Árni’s 16mm films from 1956. He was always with a camera hanging from his neck – but we never managed to do a proper exhibition when he was alive. I think he would have been quite proud to see his work in the context of National Geographic and Sara Dosa. Time and Water, inspired by my book On Time and Water is travelling film festivals all around the world these days and all summer. Theatrical releases will be announced soon. We are proud to be part of the Margaret Mead Film Festival at the American Museum of Natural History May 1st.

Opening Night Film: Time and Water

“Entrusted with writing a eulogy for Okjökull, the first Icelandic glacier lost to climate change, Andri Snær Magnason embarks on a profound exploration of environmental love and mourning. Academy Award nominee Sara Dosa crafts an intimate, transcendent meditation on loss, memory, and the deep time of the natural world—poetic, urgent, and powerfully human in its confrontation of the climate crisis. “
